Dr. McGovern received his bachelor’s and medical degrees from Columbia University before completing his intern year at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He is currently completing his dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, where he serves as chief resident. Dr. McGovern has a special interest in medical dermatology including eczema, psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, autoimmune conditions, and hair loss, amongst other conditions, and his training has prepared him to treat a widely diverse patient population. He is excited to join The Derm Specs team and provide compassionate, thoughtful care to his patients.
