As New York City’s leading dermatologist and the author of two books on skin health (Buka’s Emergencies in Dermatology and Top 50 Dermatology Case Studies for Primary Care), Dr. Buka offers a wealth of dermatologic expertise on cosmetic and medical treatments. Dr. Buka is a clinical instructor at Mount Sinai Hospital and a board-certified member of the American Academy of Dermatology.

A graduate of the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, Dr. Bobby Buka was immediately drawn to dermatology as an ever-expanding medical field that offers countless ways to help people love the skin they’re in. Whether he’s devising a fail-proof plan to cure even the most stubborn acne, helping patients age gracefully with customizable beauty services like botox, or taking the extra time to educate patients on best practices for skin cancer prevention, Dr. Bobby Buka enjoys every aspect of addressing everyday skin concerns while running New York City’s top dermatology practice.
After completing medical school, Dr. Bobby Buka completed an internship in internal medicine at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York City. Shortly thereafter, he completed his residency at the University of California San Diego, followed by a fellowship in pediatric dermatology at Children’s Hospital San Diego.
Dr. Bobby Buka opened his practice in June of 2007, and today oversees 40+ locations across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. In an effort to avoid the typical sterile, fluorescent doctor’s office, Bobby Buka is personally involved in the interior design for all office locations – designed to allow for open, one-on-one communication. From the spa-chic energy of the Upper West Side to the hip-hop inspired Crown Heights office, common elements include vintage artworks, sliding doors, and colorful statement pieces.

Dr. Bobby Buka actively promotes the importance of maintaining healthy skin. He served as contributing founder and chief science officer for First Aid Beauty, before its sale to P&G in 2018. He now serves as clinical spokesperson for several brands including Fig. 1 Beauty, Dune Sun Care, and Flakes for dandruff.
